Robert Nygren
President & CEOAs President and CEO for Epic Data, Robert Nygren is responsible for leading and managing the company’s strategic direction to achieve growth, profitability and operational excellence. Robert brings to Epic Data extensive experience in managing and growing technology based companies and has strong strategic, sales and marketing experience. Prior to joining Epic Data, Robert held the position of President & CEO of Fincentric Corporation, a global provider of enterprise software solutions to the financial services industry. With Fincentric, Robert was successful in refocusing the company’s direction and returning it to profitability, culminating in the company’s acquisition by Open Solutions Inc. in 2007. After the acquisition, Robert led the integration of Fincentric into Open Solutions and had management responsibility for all Canadian banking business.
Rino Civitarese
VP SalesRino Civitarese is responsible for driving sales in the company’s North American, European and China operations. Mr. Civitarese brings more than 25 years of experience in the high tech industry holding senior executive and sales positions at leading technology companies in Canada and the US, most recently at Salesforce.com in San Francisco where he had responsibility for sales to the US Midwest manufacturing and heavy industry sectors. Mr. Civitarese previously worked at asset management technology company, VFA, and at supply chain technology firms, SynQuest (now the Viewlocity division of Friedman Corporation) and Supply Chain Consultants. Earlier in Mr. Civitarese’s career he was Director of Sales, Canada at ERP provider RJ Thompson/Intentia (Intentia later acquired by Lawson, now part of Infor) and General Manager at Dictaphone of Pitney Bowes Canada.
Alan Foster
Executive Vice President, Products & ServicesAlan Foster is responsible for overseeing our products and services teams. Alan has more than 20 years experience in high tech industries, the majority of which was spent in senior executive roles for organizations ranging from entrepreneurial start-ups to global multinationals. Alan’s experience includes delivering complex software solutions on an international scale, as well as, award-winning industrial electronic hardware. Alan has earned a reputation as a successful builder of technology businesses. Most recently he served as the President of RFID systems provider eXI Wireless Systems Inc. Prior to that Alan’s positions included Chief Operating Officer for Meridex Networks, Vice President for MDSI Mobile Data Solutions Inc.; Vice President for Dynapro Systems, and Director of Motorola’s Mobile Data division. Alan has direct, senior executive experience in virtually every arena of the operations of a company, including product management, software development, hardware design and manufacturing, project management, and professional services.
Jeff Liu
General Manager, ChinaJeff Liu is the General Manager for Epic Data’s Shanghai office and is responsible for marketing strategy and operations. Jeff previously worked at Baosight Software Corporation the Information Technology division of China’s largest steel company. In Baosight Software Company, Jeff held a senior sales and marketing management position. Jeff received his Master of Engineering degree from Shanghai Jiaotong University.
Grant Huang
CTODr. Grant Huang is the Chief Technology Officer of Epic Data and is responsible for the management of product development and project implementations. Grant received his Ph.D. in industrial and manufacturing system engineering from Huazhong University of Science & Technology (HUST), a University with leading disciplines in the field of advanced manufacturing technology in China. Prior to joining Epic Data, Grant held academic and research positions at HUST. He holds a number of patents and has a long record of successfully servicing customers in the automobile, aerospace, and heavy equipment manufacturing industries. Grant received the Reward of National Science and Technology Progress in 2011 for his outstanding contribution in the field of MES in China. Grant was also involved in automobile product development for Dongfeng Motor, one of China’s top 3 automobile companies.
